I just like my Freedom
All caps.....? No need to yell, we hear ya. Before you yank the starter, pull the primary cover and watch when you hit the starter. Kinda sounds like the 1/4 jackshaft bolt may have come loose? I even had the spring get hung up on the retaining ring. Look n see whats going on first...jmo.

HMAN gave you good advice. This file from the 04 Service manual should be helpful also.

Jumper cables from engine to ground. Just use the one posi or neg to ground from engine to frame, see if just better ground starts to turn over the engine better.

Hi Sven, I think this time you need to be very clear about what your saying or at least specific. Your statement could possibly be misinterpreted as saying to hook the Positive side of the battery to ground for the test and I know that is not what you meant. That mistake could be very costly.

LOL, it's bad enough I have to explain cable color to use either cable from engine to frame. I said nothing about a battery hookup. I said a better ground to ground.

So now I will revise the jumper cables as use both and find 4 good grounds. 2 cable ends will camp onto the engine, 2 cable ends with clamp onto the frame. Absolutely cannot fuck things up, you look the pro. :chopper:
