stupid question ...air fuel mix screw

heres my stupid question , i need to adjust my air/fuel mix but its got that platic cap on it withe a spring......is there any specail way of getting that cap off with out breaking anything?....my bike has that lean popping on decel and its getting annoying...my local dealer told to turn the screw until bike stalls then turn screw the other way till runs good, however i feel just go counter clockwise a little from where it is till popping stops.....bike runs great where its at now , but need to get rid of this pop!!

its just a plastic cover pop it off with a screwdriver and throw it away they are dumb!!! then do a search on this website...How to adjust your carb. also do you have pipes on your bike?? are your pipes tight at the head??

i kinda figured just get rid of that plastic cap. i have the vance hines big radius, like yours.....whats funny is it never did this before the winter after the winter i changed the air filter for a new one and noticing it more cuz i guess more air is going in now....ill check the pipes to see if they are tight. thnks

I pulled the plastic thing off with my fingers.. You could start from zero and do all the adjustments but I would should turn it out a 1/4 turn and take it for a ride. If it still does it, turn it another 1/4 till the popping is minimal.
