Tail Lite PLUG

i cant figure out how to take the ( small 3 wire plug )off the wires ,so i can change the bolt and tail lite. Has any one had to do this? thanks

I use a dental pick.. but some here have used a safety pin.. be carefull... take your time..& make sure you label what goes in each socket..

witch side do i put the pin in, from the wire side, or where it plugs in2 the LED, and what am i tryin to release, i cant see much, thanks looks like im gona finish a 6pack b4 i get the plug off

There should be a small open square hole at the open end of the plug on ONE side. This is where the contact pin latch hook snaps into. Take a small paperclip end and gently push in the latch tab then gently pull out the wire from the plastic housing.

I think these are Molex type or similar JST connectors and plug onto a pin header mounted on the PCB.

alright took me a min... see if this helps.... the best I remember the tail light plugs come apart the same way..its been awhile since I had to take mine apart..

unlock it from the frt end oppsite the end the wires enter the plug..
