First - yes I searched through the forum on the subject. :D

Running a 107 with 600 cam and all else is stock (though putting in Andrews EZ pushrods)

I pulled the rockers (just cause I was bored and needed to remove the pushrods) to check them for wear (pics below). I was pulling the pushrods for another freak project when I remembered S&S says to check and replace the tappets ~20K miles or so (I'm there).

Since I got this opened up (powdercoating the rocker covers), anyone have any recommendations with suppliers and part numbers for replacement lifters? What I found from the forum search;

SS Stock: 33-5338
SS w/ Limiters: 33-5353
Jim's makes a Hydrosolid (need part numbers)

Any other thoughts?

Thanks in advance guyz :cheers:

Front

Rear

Valve rollers and pushrod cups looked good on both

No problems or blow-by in the valve area

tappets have some minor scoring and two had a tich too much play for me in the wheel.

Looks pretty clean in there Chacha.

I think Little Boo is running those Hydrosolids, he can tell you about them.

Thanks Little-Boo. I'm going with Jim's but the standard Hydros with the larger wheel vice the hydrosolids --I'm rarely running above 5500 RPM for long enough to make it worthwhile for the performance gain.

thanks for the part numbers though....

Looks like very few have every changed out their tappets!

The reason I went with the Hydrosolids is not so much that I run about 5500 RPM's. Well I do only when some one tries to show off, and I go for it. I take it up to about 6400 which is where I set my rev limiter :D. But the real reason is that they are adjusted like solid lifters, no other adjustment is need. The best part is that you don't have to wait for lifter bleed down cause there is none. :up:
