Tranny help

Went on a great 300 + mile ride yestersy. Clutch feels great 1st 2nd and 3rd gears. 4th through 6th it is slipping. Re adjusted the clutch rod as I have several times in the past with no results. On 2 occasions in 4th or 5th gear it went out of gear just a split second and back in. It was in neutral and back in the correct gear. Odd

Thanks in advance

Could be a snap ring on the mainshaft in the tranny that has come loose allowing the tranny to slip out of gear and/or allowed shaft to slide out towards the clucth assy and let slip regardless of the adjustment. Pull the primary cover off and check clutch nut/basket and trans mainshaft endplay.

Looks like I am getting ready to go into th trans. When I bought the bike the dealer said it has the new style clutch that is as good as the Bandit??? It a 2008 ridgeback with easy pull clutch. Is this true? I would like to upgrade while I am in it.

Thanks Rub I will look it up. Everything I have read on the Bandit is good so I will probable go with it. I am going to try and put it off a month at least so I can enjoy the remainder of riding season
