Vance & Hines Big Radius.

I just received a set of Vance and Hines Big radius exhaust for my
04 Chopper= left side drive.
The pipes were on a 09 Cyote-right side drive.
The pipes fit right on and look like they fit around the motor.
The V&H bracket has a 1 1/2 offset bend in it making the pipes stick out
further away from the frame. The pips sit off the frame 3 inches now.

Whats the difference in motor position in relation to the frame
as far as right side drive and left side drive ?

Can I just fab up a bracket to make up the difference ?
to get the pipes closer to the frame .

Thanks again for the help Tim

If the pipes fit and seat well at the ports and you like the looks, make a bracket boltum up and see how they sound. oh yea, post a pic.:2thumbs:

My friend who gave me the exhaust has his motor out for upgrades.
I'm going to ask him for measurments from his motor mounts to the center vertical
tube on the frame. This should give me an idea on if the motors are offset differently.

I like the Big Radius look, but 3 inches off the frame is excessive, I have 2 PMs sent to BDB members asking them how far the pipes are away from the frame on their 03 -04 Choppers .I know these were not made to fit the left side drive Chopper-But the price is right if I can make them work.
Thats what building a bike is all about, getting used parts making them work-maybe save a few bucks.
Thank you for the help Tim

I'd like to post pics of the entire project. I should have my tins back from clear coat
next month.I plan on posting a few pics of frame up build-along with all the members who
helped me out with their knowledge, used parts and even a donated part(Thank you Staffy). I'm on dial up here in the Catskill Mtns. in NY. So I can't post pics.I'm going to send pics to a member and have them posted with my story-should be a good
read. If you would like to help me with the post please let me know.

The BR2's on our Bulldogs have a bracket that holds the pipes out 3" from the frame. Is this where you mean?
They do wrap around the motor and frame a lot closer as they should. They look fine.

The rear bracket has 1 1/2 offset bend to it.
With the width of the bracket mount the 1 1/2 offset bracket and the width of the
exhaust mount.
The pies are about 2 3/4 - 3 inches off frame, Seems alittle excessive.Bit I can
live with it.

Would still like to know if anyone running the V&H 2 into 2 Big radious
on left side drive bikes . please let me know the offset in bracket.
The bend in the bracket from outside to outside (offset).
The bracket I have is 1 1/2 -but its for a right side drive model.

thanks for the help Tim

You might want to call V&H directly, they may have a bracket for your pipes in stock. I bought a bracket from them for my Mastiff.
