Vance & Hines Heat Shield

In need of the rear cylinder rear heat shield, mine was loose and didn't tighten with the clamp so pulled it and found the tab welds completely broke off. I looked up on Vance and Hines site and can get it for $170, just wondering if anyone might happen to have one laying around? Or any good way to have it repaired? Part # is D309HC

Local welder to tack the tabs back in place? Probably TIG so they wont heat the chrome up too much? @knothead may chime in to correct me as he is the lead welder!

extreme heat jb-weld its good to like 1300 degrees if memory serves

I've tacked several back on without messing up the chrome. Two of them, I had to make a new tab

Unfortunately I am not good at welding nor do I have a welder so I would need to see if someone can tack weld using a tig? Also I will look into the jb weld if nothing else, think it will hold or just keep breaking?

Yes it can be fixed without hurting the chrome....mail.it to Shannon and he can fix you up
