Voltage regulator replacement

Energy One

Pddain

PHTM II
Reading through the old threads, I Have decided to replace the voltage regulator as a precautionary measure.
06 Mastiff, 117 engine. Factory charging system.

Anyone have a recommendation with part number and manufacturer for a reliable VR. I am properly fused, based on the forum input. I am budgeting for a new charging system, but thought the VR would be a cost effective change to help avoid potential issues.

My suggestion, if you are upgrading your charging system soon, is to contact Curtis at wildsteedworx.com He will advise you on the vr to install

If you are going to replace the stator and rotor eventually, then you might as well wait and save yourself time & money. The Compufire kit with VR, stator & rotor together will save you quite a bit then trying to piece it together. Even if you don't install the stator & rotor now, buying it paired up ends up being about $50-60 less.

I replaced my VR with a CompuFire VR as suggested when I replaced my EHC. Only CompuFire and Cycle Electic VR's were recommenced by the EHC manufacturer to keep the warranty intact. It's a good idea to get the factory installed VR off the bike and put a new one on it.
