Since I got my Pitbull up here with me again, it NEEDS a bath something fierce. I don't know if I have all my chemicals and detailing goodies up here, but I'm pretty sure I do.
Anywho, I was looking through my bucket of stuff I'd purchased most recently, and it's a handful of interior cleaners, general degreasers, glass spray, shampoo, detail spray, etc....stuff I bought for my car and truck.
With the blend of chrome and polished aluminum on this bike, I'd prefer to go to Advance Auto or whoever in the next day or two and get some bike specific chemicals. I have plenty of 0000 steel wool, since I bought a bag for polishing the frets on my guitars, so I have several unused pieces of that. However, if anyone has a good general wash shampoo they like to get the majority of the crud off, then polished aluminum specific cleaners, and chrome specific cleaners, I'm all ears. I have a few microfiber mitts, microfiber rags/towels, and a clay bar.
If anyone has a recommendation for something to wipe on the chrome, then hit with the 0000 steel wool to polish off any grime/haze that's accumulated, and maybe can be used for general use with a rag for maintenance cleanings, that'd be great.
This is the car shampoo I've got, though I thought I had other stuff, but this is all I can find. It was what WalMart had at the time.
