What size starter.

I was wondering what size starter BDM used on the 107 and 117 motors?
I put a 2.4 spyke on my 96" bucause I thought more was better. I think its overkill and my H.D. battery really struggles to spin it.
Pondering going to a 1.4 or a Barille battery.
Any input - Thank you

Did they have compression releases ?
Yes they have a CR.

107 - The CR circuit was part of the starter circuit in the EHC. Note: Built into the EHC

Starting in 05 and therefore the 117, the starter circuit and the CR circuit are independent. Note: in 05 CR wires are no longer part of the EHC.

The CR wires are part of the backbone harness and for 2005 each one of the CR has its own discconnect located under the tank on single tank models and under the dash on the Pitbull and Mastiff. This is on the 05 117, not sure about 06 and up's.

1.4kw for the 2004 Tim, 107 or 117. If you're buying new, get a 1.75kw. Anything larger will have the longer body which should still fit but it's overkill.

Thanks.
I know running the smaller 96" might not need as much power to get it turning over.
I have no CRs soI thought the 2.4 would be the starter for me. With no choke the bike starts in seconds everytime, but I think the battery is taken a beating.
I probably should have called Dave from S&S and got his imput on which starter they recomend.
The starter fits no problem and takes up the space just fine-actually looks great on there.
