I have a 2004 ridgeback that would not go into 1st so I put it in 2nd.
I went 50 ft only to hear a big bang and watch my tranny fluid run out.
The case is a Jim's and has a hole in the bottom the size of a dime.
Upon further inspection the front right slider gear broke into pieces.
I probably can have the case welded and a baker rebuild kit put in it but that is out of my budget.
I am thinking of a used transmission but do not know if a soft tail transmission will work. Also the speedometer sensor is also on the transmission.

I have a Jims transmission setting on the shelf....i got to refresh it one day and it came off one of my 04 Ridgebacks...i would sell it but it be way cheaper on you to buy a ultima transmission....they Ultima is 919.00 about anywhere you look....your primo clutch system will work with it with no issues....if you buy the Ultima all you will have to do is swap out the transmission speed sensor....you can get the sensor from bigdogpartskingpin.com...sensors are about 25 bucks....so all in all you be out of pocket around 1200.00 bucks for the transmission, sensor, gaskets and oil if you do the labor urself...

Its not a bad job the swap the transmission out on the ridgeback...i have done a few on different models....if you have mechanical skills it wont be bad job...if your willing to do the job urself i will help walk you thru the process of what all you have to do
