Will not start

Bike has been running great. Ocasionally after turning key - speedo cycle - run - start...Nothing. Start over and it cranks. Today it left me stranded and it will not start. Solid yellow light on EHC and flashing green light. Removed battery cables to restart twice. Tapped on starter. Battery (3rd in 1 year) is a 2 month old deca that is fully charged. Any ideas?

3 batteries in 1 year?charging system working?do you keep it on a tender?when you say it wont start do you mean the starter will not turn?do you have power to your starter?might still be battery.puppies die brand new.try the search tool also.im sure some of the electrical gurus will chime in:cheers:

Thanks Mobsta. I was wondering if anyone would offer suggestions. Battery is fully charged. I keep her on a tender. I'm thinking it's the starter. I searched looking for info and found nothing. Oh well, another 108 mile tow to the shop I guess.

have you removed the small wire from the starter solenoid, to check if power is there when you push the start button? if no power it might be a board in the hand control

Good idea Eric. I ran out of light and called it a day. Just got her towed home. I will head out to the garage after a little stress relief...

just noticed the CCA on the Deca battery is a 270. What is recommended? I want the highest possible. Would that be the hd softail battery?

It was the wiring in the hand control. Plug had come undone. Wires were also a little jumbled up.

Thanks to Steve at Biker's Dream for fixing her up!

While she's there - 5k service and a ride on the dyno. Can't wait to see what the HP & torque is...

AWESOME!
Thanks to Steve and Biker's Dream in Atlanta for getting her damn near perfect!

I think the Big City Thunder baffles along with the S&S Dual Air are an absolute PERFECT combination. I knew she was running good and strong, but had no idea she would put up #'s like that.

Check out the Big City Thunder web site Big City Thunder - Exhuast Dynamics

Steve, are those 76 main and 31 intermediate jets? I can't remember???

No man, she's all stock. Stock exhaust with the 2 into 2 slip on's. Pretty much Mean Mothers for a few hundred less. S&S uaually deliver around 6 extra HP from what I've read. BCT reports gains as much as 12 HP. I think the combo is the ticket...:D

Working on the video now. Will be up tomorrow. Blew the tire off on the first run. Had to dry the Dyno off.

Hello all,
Glad to hear that the bike is running great. But more elated to know that there are still people out there enjoying what motorcycles and being a businessman is all about. I got screwed in Jax, FL. So now I have to go to Tampa for any and everything. Perhaps I'll roadtrip up to GA and visit Biker's Dream.

just reading thread when checking the issues did the switch cause the ehc the shut down and cause a break in the circuit? like power to the sensor and such, i replaced my nose cone sensor bike started using a jumper wire, i also replaced the relay bike cranked twice through the handlebar switch but didnt start relay begand clicking again and no power to sensor again... but before using the switch the bike cranked up and ran nice using the jumper wire..now once used the switch back to square one no power to sensor and clicks wont start or crank..... and how much is new switch...thank to input..
