I also used the longer bolts in the heads but I took a stainless washer an cut it down so it would just fit in those holes, I also made the camel toe bolt 5/16, red loctite on it all! they have'nt moved at all!!

Your reading too much into it. Look in your service manual section 2 the top bolt S/B a 1/2"-20 x 1 3/4" not a 5/8"-20 x 1 3/4"

It should be 1/2 inch 20 tpi.

I am so sorry, I gave you the upper mounting bolt from the service manual. I just measured my coil cover chrome bolt and it was 3/8"-16 and an inch long as described in the service manual. I also measured the depth and 1.5 inch depth with a washer will work. I think I will order some longer ones myself.

That picture bothers me because it doesn't say or show threads the entire length. I just went to my local ACE Hardware store and picked up 6 Socket Cap smooth 3/8"-16 1-1/2 inches long as shown below with lock washers. I'll let you know how they fit once I get a chance to remove my ignition cover. I need to replace the ignition switch connector under the cover with a DTM plug.
Update: I put a 1-1/2 in the front and back like Gas Man did above except I used a chrome lock washer.
