which is better for my Pitbull?

I have an 08 Pitbull with about 10k and it seems to foul plugs yearly. I store it in my garage on a digital tender with the fuel off. I have been using the Champion RA8HC. is this correct or is the RN12YC better? do the spark plug wires need replaced? thoughts?

thanks people.

If you use the enrichner a lot your plugs will foul quicker. Plugs are fairly cheap so I change em out regularly. Hit the old ones with a wire brush n some electro cleaner n put em on the shelf. Use em in rotation but keep em gapped right. Jmo.

Champion Platinum RA8HC for the 117 cubic Inch gap .038 to .042 inch. The RN12YC is for the 107 cu in motor. You might be leaving the enrichner on too long.

Personally I use the E3 plugs - E3-36 specifically and get much better results than the champions. They are about 6.50/each at o'reillys but I won't go back to regular plugs if I can avoid it,

I only use it on the 1st start up after the winter storage or if I have not used it for a week or two. I replace the plugs every summer but was wondering if there were any other tips to use. these bikes are great but are like a wife who spends all your money shopping. now, should I gap them on the low end .038?

I just ordered some. let's go for summer! do you use the smaller gap (.038 or the larger (.042)?

should I start new ones with the .038 gap or the larger one at .042? it has about 10 k on it. do you think I need a plug wire change as well? that drop off compression stroke before cranking is getting on my nerves. hope all is well with you my brother.

Id run ur same gap and as far as plug wires go, if ya havent ever replaced them, go for it. Taylor's "409" Spiro pro race wires do well. Others have different choices. They have worked well for me. Thank you for asking how I am. Doing well for now. Be better when the Chopper motor is rebuilt and Im back in the wind.

I just ordered some red ones from Bigdogbiker on her Ebay account. I guess you mean I should leave them as they come out of the box? I figured if I set the gap closer they would wear out to a larger gap faster but maybe turn faster too. I am so used to plugs coming already pre gapped for the cars I work on that I forgot my basics lol

I leave them as them come and have never had an issue. Have them in my carb and EFI k-9s

thanks Jersey Big Mike........ I just ordered 2 Big Dog Motorcycles Taylor RED 8mm Spiro Pro spark plug wire set as well. that drop from compression at start still spooks me. I just rock it in gear before I ride 1st time. after that I'm good. thanks for your advice. be safe out there. we have had 7 fatalities already in western PA. I never ride before street cleaning time in April.

Yeah, you're a little further west than my normal PA travels were when I was in NJ.
I used to make it out to Johnstown for Thunder in the Valley -- was a great event.
Actually bought my first BDM from BlackDog Mototcycles in Wormsleysburg from Mike.
