Some thoughts would be appreciated

I can't seem to get this thing tuned right. I have been up and down with jets. Currently at 32 intermediate, 78 main. Previously 31 and 80. I know 78 on the main is the sweet spot. It ran with the previous but was not right no matter the carb adjustment. Saturday night I swapped to the current. Adjusted the carb per specs. Sitting in my shop it was right! I thought, I got it. Took it down the road today and it ran like shit. Worse that before. Thought, it's hot so adjust from the start. No matter the carb adjustment it popped like hell. I'm thinking new plugs tomorrow and see. Start simple first but now I'm questioning the ignition. Thoughts or comments would be appreciated

Checked for intake leaks?

What do the plugs look like now? Say when it starts it fires right off, no long cranking. That stays timing is close enough.

Here's the thing with the fiddlefuck screw. There is this 'initial turns out' and that's one move and stays there. Next is a meter that can detect 25-50 rpm drops or climbs. Bike is hot, turn in till the rpm drops, then turn out till it rises. Then find the middle of the hi/low. Not too rich, not too lean, but just right Goldilocks gets screwed.

If your bike is popping on deceleration you are on the right path by jetting. If your bike is popping (misfiring)on acceleration then start looking at ignition related problems.
First and foremost do as suggested and check for intake and exhaust leaks nothing loose. If you have leaks you will never get the bike jetted properly. You need to control the air/fuel mix and leaks make that impossible.
If you have changed your air filter or exhaust system those are big factors. If you have removed your baffles try replacing them to see if that is the cause.
Contact S&S and ask if they have an opinion on matching the Duel Runner intake with your G carb.

Alright guys, I think I got it. New plugs, dropped the intermediate to a 31. Bowl vent was already out. Tightened all bolts on the intake and carb. Checked the ignition and added dielectric grease to the connectors. Bike fired right up. Adjusted the carb and took it down the road. Some decel pop but minor. I can live with it. One thing, when at a stop, if I blip the throttle it'll cough from time to time. Otherwise, drop the hammer and it runs strong with no issues. I appreciate all the comments!

Good news! Warm the bike up well then go to step #5 and refine the accelerator screw adjustment.
