Backbone harnesses connector

Pardon me ... having recently applied knowledge that I gained from this forum and deciphering the information within my service manual I cannot be more greatful for joining. Heya, during the diagnosis I had discovered that the EHC backbone harness connector was not seated properly and the dielectric grease was grody ! Gently cleaned pins and replaced grease. Reason that I reveal this is because every time I would wet the bike all the functions revelant to section 6 - 10 speedometer, were not as described and would return to normal after a period of riding. I also have an analog tachometer which was acting nefarious as well. All is awesome for some time now. Just to summarize ; I had a brake light issue and an intermittent issue at the backbone connector. Patience, perseverance and excellent advice from groovy experienced riders got me back on 2 wheels purty quick ! Thanx

Glad ya found it. Some have had sucess by wraping a zip tie to the connection. Keeps it from wiggling loose.

I use marine heatshrink for tough ones that I want watertight and not to move.
When you do need to remove it, you need patience and an x-acto knife.
