Hmm... if there is no side effects... why not put it on regardless.... right?

Hey Rowdy, Is it like a one finger pull easy? That is how my 2005 Ridgeback is for the most part. I can sit at a light with one finger in my clutch lever and not really get tired. It is pretty soft. I'll have to try and hit a dealer to check it out. I am going to do a bandit clutch kit soon anyway.

They have some clear stuff you can put on your gas tank and rear fender to keep scratches at bay. For guys with the passenger cushion, forgot what ya call it, this would be great. No scratches on the paint. They also have some of this clear stuff to put around your gas cap. What I want know, is , is it permanent, and if you decide to remove it, what kind of problems will that be? And, LDO, I'm not sure what "rep" means, but mine is ZERO, and I'm tired of that shit!!!! At least give me a "1".
It's often called a "Clear Bra". I've used it on the nose of my Ferrari and Lamborghini and it works well. Find someone in your area that does cars and have them do the area you want to cover. I would not reccomend doing it yourself.

My experience is 3M is the best tape. The thinner, the less noticable. Comes in 1ml 3ml and 5ml. Regarding removing it, I have my entire nose covered and on the bottom where I bottom out and a hard bump the corners peel and it can lift the paint. However, if you want to pull it - using a heat gun and slow peel will remove it.

And I think invisgaurd sells a kit to aid in the removal.

I called my dealership a couple of days ago to check up on my Big Dog Easy Clutch I ordered. She said that Big Dog isnt exactly ready to start sending those out just yet, but will call me when they do. Anyone know whats going on with them? I surely dont want to put one on, if they are screwed up. I'm kinda wondering why they would put it on their website for sale, when its actually not ready to sell yet.

I was at the big dog dealership today and asked about the easy clutch. they had never heard of a big dog easy clutch, so they called big dog, and learned they did have one now. If fact, we both went outside and tried a new K-9 that had the easy clutch, and I swear guys, it was night and day compared to our clutches. I guess the easy clutch was so new, they didnt know they offered them. I just thought is was kinda weird that they didnt know the new ones had them, and they were parked in their parking lot. Anyway , I ordered one, and they were $220.00. this will be the best 200 dollars I've ever spent. You HAVE to go by your dealership and try it out.

Is this price including install? Are the aftermarket clutches that you would use with a belt drive easier to pull or is it like a car clutch. More pressure harder on the body

I forget how much my dealership was charging me for the clutch, but I know it was 200 + , so I may cancel them and buy it from you. but its the ole' you didnt buy it from us..deal. dont know if an easy clutch would matter to them or not

Just let me know ... would be happy to earn the business from you. Again tomorrow I'll have more info for ya.

I know my local BDM dealer hasn't had any problem installing parts, but you never know how some of the guys will act. After all ... I started this business because I got tired of paying retail all the time!

I don't know about any screw up, my dealer here already has them. If I heard him right, it only has 9 plates(just a bit thicker).
Now, you got me thinking-what is the Rep Power?:spank:

the o6 clutch in my k-9 was so stiff that it was all most imposable to hold it in at a light. after the dealer worked on it numerous times, we finally got a new 08 clutch installed. it has been a great help. i'm just wondering if this is what they are calling the easy clutch. nothing more than the new clutch pack they are putting in the 08s. it made a BIG differance for me. no more hand cramps.

Just an update since I told you guys I would be checking ... but we're not getting any info from Big Dog right now on when they're going to have the clutch ready for shipping. Apparently there's a large demand as well and if it's handled like when they had the sissy bar problem, they will be out of them as soon as they have them available.

When I get an answer from BDM as a "guess-imate" on production, we could place orders to at least get in line.

Meanwhile if you can find a dealer who has them, I would consider paying the extra bucks just to get one if you're in a hurry.

I know when they ordered mine last week, the BDM computer said "contact your rep" but the system did take the order. I'll get some info soon.

Skully - FYI - my 06 was the same way. I kept saying it was the spring plate and they agreed to try a stock different one - solved the problem. I think there may have been some bad OEM spring plates for 06 that were punched improperly, resulting in too much tension.

I have no idea about plates or other things, but I do know when I tried pulling in the clutch on the 08's it was amazing ( I think it was an 08).
