All the 04 manual downloads I can find have section 3 missing with maintanence specs?????

My manual states that the bike should be on the kickstand when checking oil level.
I read my manual and it said to check it when the bike is level, so I guess my post was wrong. Or not. Tonight I'm out doing a little polishing and look what I see, now what the fuck is right.

I've reviewed all the model years available and the only one so far that says to check the bike on the kick/side stand is the 08 and newer models.

But if your manual says one thing and your cap says another I would let BDM know so they can correct it.

I sent an e-mail to Big Dog on which way to check my oil and the reply from Mark at Big Dog was to check it on the kick stand and it don't matter whether the oil is warm or cold.

I'm so confused now. I have an 06 pitbull and have no clue on how to check my oil level. Bike did not come with an owners manual.
