I'm not sure why we have that big plastic connector just to hook up to the switch. Haven't heard of anyone changing out to a simpler like we have for our oil pressure switch but might be something you want to try. Then you have lots of options as there are lots of covers for that on.

Keep us posted on what you find or do.

That big square plastic clip probably won't fit under the chrome cover. Remove the terminals from the clip, shrink wrap them and install the cover. Or just buy a different neutral switch, the cover you want, and crimp new terminals on the wires.

Oops I found this a little late, I got the kurykan frog cover and no good on fit.
Got it off eBay so I'll grind it up and see if I can make it work...
Any one find one that works? I just hate seeing the gold switch with a giant connector right on top of the chrome trans top.

Happened to bump into Bert Baker this weekend while Bigdogro2, Seatmaker and I were out for a ride. We stopped over at the Brighton MI HD dealer having a chilli cook-off and Bert was out in the front lot shooting the breeze. Talked to him a bit and mentioned we talk about the Baker trans issues in the forum ...main shaft snap ring coming loose causing no clutch and others. He said that they are aware of the issues and make an extra effort to fix everything even if it's past warranty. He said he was checking out our bikes and the Bigdog proprietary design took 18 months for him to complete.

He seemed like a decent enough guy. Both him and his wife are ex GM Hydromatic Engineers here in Michigan.
