Don't forget to check the ground connection down on the primary, top starter mount bolt.

Well if its coming from the coil cover, I would replace the coil. :loony: I have a thunder heart coil that come with my ignition system that I did not install. It is new make me a reasonable offer and shipping and its yours. :2thumbs: Another part that often fails when the motor is hot is the starter solenoid. You may want to rebuild that or replace it. But for sure if the clicking is coming from the key area than that should be you coil getting ready to take a dump on you. Check again and make sure it's not the compression release doing the clicking. Let me know if you need that coil.
