Odometer Problems

The other day I was caught in some rain and some got inside my speedo and it kept reseting the trip odometer. The only way I could figure out to get the water out was to pull the rubber boot off of the trip reset button and shake the water out and let it dry. I was riding it yesterday for a lond distance and I noticed that there is an extra 3000 miles on my odometer and the trip odometer is counting almost twice as fast as it should be. Any suggestions? :bang:

Yeah there is a reset!!!

It would be a good idea to open the speedo up and dry it out and maybe if not already done, to coat the tach board, down on the bottom behind the oil, neutral, high beam, and turn indicators with some RTV. Either that or don't get caught in the rain. There are some other issues with the BDM electronics and water that I am sure you know about. Go to the "How to" section and do a search for waterproofing you big dog.
