My 04 bulldog is cranking over but no spark? I was thinking it was the battery put it on the charger the next day it started up. I went for a ride..... Parked it sat for one day I went out today and nothing... it cranks but it will not start... Everything is working lights, gas, ect, and the battery has a full charge. My local shop tested the bike and told me theres no spark coming from the plugs. This is the third time this has happened to me, so right now its on the charger and I will see if it starts tomorrow. That always seem to work....I love my BIG DOG and its a bitch magnet for sure! :2thumbs:I've put over 1000 miles on a bike that had 7000 when I got it. I've had no problems and always started on the first kick.

Could be an ignition or coil issue. The local shop said you have no spark and that's it? I'm posting from my phone but do a forum search for "troubleshooting tree" somewhere I wrote a step by step on what to do if the bike won't start.

thanks bro I will look for that one, I found one for 05-08's? Well It did not start today either... it sounds like its about to kick but no.....Im sure I will find the answer here there's a lot of helpful info- There's a quote I read somewhere "why pay someone else to fuck up my bike"
Thanks- I will update as I progress.

Don't mean to sound like an ass, but did you check the battery to ensure the connections are really tight. If the connections are even a little loose the bike will turn over and not fire.

Had a similar problem on my 04 Chopper. Started out as intermittant headlight on/off, then some backfiring on decelration, then rough idle --like out of gas. Put my 4 year old baterry on the tender for 8 hours and it never charged! (dam!). Motor turns over, all lights work, bit no head light and no spark at all. ** Put a new battery in and everything is like new, all problems gone. Suggest try/borrow a new battery first; if it fixes it then buy a new battery.*** I heard the Braille is Top Notch... -- BraTT

It started today

so this is what I did. Disconnected the battery for like 2min connected back, put the trickle charger for 2 days, today I went out turn right up... went for a ride around the block. Came back to my house turned it off for like 15-20min while I got ready for a ride . Went back out turned it on and road over to the next town to a BBQ fund raiser for a fallen rider. All in all put in about 130 miles and turned the bike on and off like 4times. So im going to go with bad battery, tomorrow I will change it out and hope that will put an end to this issue..I guess its not holding the charge even if the meter is telling me its good???
Thanks:up:, for the advise to all who took the time to help a brother out-
