2006 Big Dog Chopper

I went to start my chopper and all it done was click.Sounds
like it was the starter.It,s been in my shed for about six months and I couldn,t ride it due to medical reasons.I did put a battery charger on and I will try again today.Might be the solenoid or starter.Any advise? thank you

Might be that down tube sticker or is that gallery picture an old one...

Sounds like the battery to me also...Hope all the medical issues are resolved :2thumbs: a long ride is just the prescription for any ailment

most likely the battery but if it still just clicks, that telling you the starter is getting power, there is a tread on here about taking the back cover off the starter solenoid and cleaning everything inside up, problem could be the corrosion inside.

definately cruelty i say,,,you couldnt have gotten your ole lady to take it round the block????my money would be battery just not havin enough juice after all that time,if you are puttin a charge on the battery,and go to try afterwards and it dont turn over,just does the clicking thing,tap the solenoid a few times with a something,allways worked for me......

thanks guys,i,ll try the solenoid thing first,or get a new battery.it still clicks.

hope you are feeling better now and can start putting some miles on that Chopper!

It's cheaper to ride these dogs than to let them sit.
