help wanted in LA

I need some help in Hawthorne, Los Angeles.
I have a k9 getting delivered in a few days and i need someone to break part of the bike down for shipping.
It needs :
rear wheel removed
front wheel removed
forks and bars removed
and tank removed
brake levers and calipers can just be taped to the frame
no crating or packing need to be done as the shipping company will do this.
the shipping company are open from 8.30 to 5.30 monday to friday, not sure about saturdays.
any help would be appreciated

If it was mine. I would have used Keyboard trucking. $500.00 to $600.00 gets ya across the US from one side to another. We use them to bring in our Big Bear Choppers from LA (Big Bear Lake). We also have customers who live in California that just love to ride in north Ga Mountains will fly and transport bike with Keyboard. Good company. Roll your bike onto a very secure skid. Driver straps it down. Cover goes on (if you have one) insured well! Money well spent.

Help a brother out

Guys, if anyone in the LA area could help a brother out from "Down Under" it would be greatly appreciated.

Like he stated the bike is getting shipped to a ship that will transport the bike to Australia. Ryan just needs someone to bring some tools down to the boat yard and take some of the bike apart so that it can be crated and then loaded on a ship.

I'd do it if I was closer but it's a bit far for me. Wish I still lived in San Diego or I would go do it for him.

can't help you out during the week ...work full time...and this saturday im working on my bike.....i did meet a guy at a stop light in buena park, he pulled up and handed me a business card, says he specialzes in Big Dogs and has a small shop (1-man operation)
seems like a straight up guy...has a truck and tools....give him a call, i think he can help you out...his name is scruffy

i was trying to get someone from the forum but i will keep him in mind .
i would rather give money and work to one of you guys as all the help from this site has saved me heaps .
i think it is better to help out the brothers but i dont want to put anyone out though.
if no one can do it i will give him a call because at least he is a small operator like myself and i like to help small business

Hi Ryan,
Los Angeles, Louisiana......what's the difference when you're from Austrailia? I read my pm's before reading this post and offered my help, but like you said, it's a bit much of a drive from New Orleans to Los Angeles. I'm sure you'll be able to get some help on the west coast. Good luck!
