Got a 2004 Bulldog with inverted forks and I have a seal going bad. Before I jury rig a tool to remove the tops and the lower ring (see pics), does anyone have a good source and part numbers for the correct tools for this job?

Thanks!

Tape the tops so you don't scratch them and find 2 allens that fit snug. I used a pipe wrench to turn but you can use anything that can get ahold of both.

There is very little torque on the tops.

Use a small punch to tap the lower dust cover. No torque on that.

Very easy.

You need to find a way to get bushings out.

I did a quick how to early in the year on it.

Not gasman quality but may help.

I looked off and on for a couple of weeks for one that would work.

Did not check Harbour Freight though. Might be the place to look.
I think Snap On makes a scissor type, check Sear's too!:2thumbs:

I check Snap-on, Sears and Mac. Ebay, Craigslist, Etc.

Most people had no idea what I was talking about when I asked if they carried spanner wrenches.

I just did the Shade Tree thing and got it done. :D

They are easy to make for about 5 bucks. Flat 1/4 X 1 steal. Find Allen bolt that the head fits in the hole snug. Drill and bolt to the flat bar with correct center to center. Bada Bing!!:2thumbs:
