Are these adjustable? (Picture)

If so how so? Looks like a spacer is on there to me? It sits too low for me, drags on both sides while turning.

I don't think they are. Especially if stock.

Here's a pic of the set on my 06 chop that were adjustable

I would say those are slammed all the way down. Can't remember if my 03 had adjustable shocks..... to long ago now! To adjust the ones you have you will need to remove them and then screw out the end piece. Just make sure they are both even when you put them back together. You might want to contact Works Performance if you don't notice a minimum setting on them so you don't pull them apart too far.

Here are my 05 shocks and they are not adjustable as you can see.

The person I bought it from said it was lowered 2" so at some point someone put adjustable shocks on it. It rides very good, however I scrape on corners sometimes. I spent the morning repositioning my exhaust to give me more clearence on the right side.

Gabreil, I don't know if the 06 shocks will fit your bike or not, but I have a used set that I took of my 06 Mastiff. They are still good, about 1K to 1200 miles on them. I replaced mine with a heavy duty set, which I didnt really need had I adjusted the ones I had properly. :bang::bang:
Anyway if you interested make me a reasonable offer plus shipping.

Yeah that doesn't look right to me. Looks like he rigged those nuts in there as spacers to get it lower. Take the shocks off and see if you can get those nuts outa there. I'm not sure what you'll need to get the shock apart. To raise it back up, you need to get the clevis ends closer to the shock body.

That picture was taken with the rear tire off the ground. bike was on a lift.
But that may be what someone did to get it lower. I'll know more when i remove them

If the concern is scraping then I would add that that is just the nature of the beast. I scrape mine all the time. It's only 4 1/2" off the ground so you are going to scrape on some corners. I think we all scrape.

I took them off and discovered that someone had cut those shafts drilled them tapped them and installed a stud.
If you look closely at the pictures above you can see that one of the cuts is in a different place than the other (nice job):bang:
So i did away with the nut and washer threaded the pieces together as far as they would go, set the length and now the bike is at stock height.
It came up in the rear about two inches and does not scrape on normal corners! success!
I have no idea why someone would do something like that to a bike this nice.
I'm looking for some replacement shocks, hopefully the adjustable ones posted above will fit? I can't stand half assed shit!!:spank:

I was just looking at them again before I read this and came to the same conclusion. They weren't cut in the same location either not to mention that the one on the right isn't even straight. That's going to be your weak spot now. Those shocks take a beating.
Keep an eye on Shovelheadkicker on eBay as he always has a set of these listed.

Oh, I would give the rest of the bike a good "going over" just to ensure the previous owner didn't fuck with anything else.

The previous owner did not even change his own oil. He gave me the name of the shop and the tech that has been doing the maintenance on it. He also told me the previous owner lowered it.
The bike is in really good shape, I was surprised to see this.
No big deal, i will replace them at first chance.

Hopefully a later model that are adjustable will fit.
They were easy to get off, jacking it up was another story

I need to say one other thing, what is up with that oil drain hose being bolted down? I went to change the oil the other day and looked at this and decided to just use a suction gun.
That was the dumbest thing I have seen on this bike yet.
It's not bolted down now! I took that bolt and clamp off and looped the hose in front of the mud flap where I can reach it.

If you look closely you will also see that the 2 shock rod ends are different. One has a longer straight section.
