I would honestly be concerned with safety. If it were me I'd get rid of those jury rigged shocks. You really have no way of knowing what grade of materials were used when those things were modded.

I think if you read the previous post you will discover that is the very thing I am doing...

If I swapped mine out it would be for a set with adjustable shock valving. I really feel my bike could use a softer setting and that would help put a little more power down. At 180 lbs I feel it's been set up for heavier riders or even 2 up. Not ideal....

Harley Davidson Softail shock off E-Bay? Looks like the ones I bought off E-Bay, been running them for two years. They are too soft for me so I’m looking again.
I never ride two up, but i am fairly heavy 6.1" 290
Ultima makes these...

I have a 2003 Mastiff. I love the bike and want to ride it every Day. But the suspension is a little too stiff in the rear for the bad roads here in the Philippines. Is there a way I can make it softer in the rear without buying new shocks ?
