It's called " Shilling", for example;

EBay Charged with Shilling

A class action lawsuit accuses the online marketplace of causing bidders to pay more than they should have.
Ebay's automated bidding system can pit bidders against themselves, a class action suit claims. (or others used by the seller to drive the price as this thread refers)
As a result of its improper bidding arrangement, eBay buyers pay inflated prices for their goods, eBay receives larger transaction fees and eBay's financial subsidiary PayPal gets extra revenues, according to the suit filed in California Superior Court in Santa Clara, Calif., on behalf of lead plaintiff Glenn Block.

The suit accuses eBay of "shilling," the practice of bidding on an item with no intention of buying it, merely to raise the price. It hinges on eBay's practice of encouraging high bidders to raise their maximum bids.

The other term you were speaking about is called "bid by proxy"

I'm not going to start anything but Mclovin is correct, I have called him out on several issues. If you guys remember way back he used to have his own personal website Mcleouds custom cycle. On that website you could buy any item immediately from him at that price, but the prices he was selling on ebay were much lower. I got into a pissing match over a seat he had listed on both sites. Of course now his other website no longer around but his business is. If you call big dog to find an obsolete item they will direct you to him.

I'm not saying that I agree with what he is alleged to be doing because I don't but at the end of the day no one is being forced to pay more than they are willing to pay. Any item is worth what you are willing to pay for it. Once the price goes above that don't buy it.

There are hundreds of tests out there and believe it or not your current aircleaner IS the best out there. S&S developed the horn that has been copied by many that helps funnel and increase velocity through the carb.
About the only thing you may want to do is change out the filter to a re-usable one. Or the extended kit that's been mentioned.

:cheers:
So back to the original old question, I saw where someone modified the stock cleaner by drilling holes in the bottom of it. I purchased a spike; never mounted it because of all the bad things I've read about them here.

How did it go at the dealer?? Did they give you good money for your trade?? I was thinkin about doing the same thing.

Just traded in my 07 Pitt and got a brand new 330 Ridgeback. I kept my air cleaner stock on the Pitt but would like to replace it on my new bike. Any suggestions?? I never heard anything good about the Spiked air cleaners..... With that said, what are you guys using and what seems to work good for a reasonable price?

Thanks in Advance.
