Maintenance At 12913 miles

I've reached 12,913 miles on my '05 Chopper when I put it away for the winter. This spring before I get it out for the summer, I am going to do some additional maintenance on it. The left front fork looks like it needs rebuilding, so I thought that I would replace the seals and bushings in both forks. I also heard that the wheel bearings should be replaced at 10,000 miles. Where is the best place to get parts from... the local BDM dealer? Aside from the regular maintenance is there anything else that I should be doing or checking? I'm also thinking of purchasing a motorcycle lift. I already have a motorcycle/atv lift purchased from Sears, but was thinking of something larger... any thoughts?

lube cables, check bearings in the neck, adjust clutch, replace wheel bearings, put bigger cam in, deck heads, fluids in tranny primary and motor, check fuel petcock, im sure theres more but that should keep ya busy for a while!!

I bought the Craftsman lift from Sears and ended up taking it back. I just wasn't comfortable with how the K9 wobbled on it.. it seemed really unstable. So, I ended up buying a lift from J&S Jacks (J&S Jacks - Motorcycle Lift, Motorcycle Jack, Wheel Chock, Oil Pan Adapter - USA Made, Wisconsin). They are made here in Wisconsin and I can jump on the thing and it wont move!

One thing the manual does not say is "Check all fasteners" it would be good to also go over the bike and make sure everthing is tight. If not pull the bolt, clean, locktie and torque as speced. If you have seen soem of the things that have come up in the past its a good idea just to check everything ya can before ya hit tha road:2thumbs:
