Forward Controls Extended or not?

I just bought an 05 chopper. I think the forward controls were extended but I'm not sure. I measured them and the base is 8 inches long on the shift side and 7 inches long on the brake side. I'm 5'9" and have problems reaching the shifter with a stock seat.

They look like the extended ones to me. Easy check is to measure your shift rod. If it's over 16 1/2" then they are the extended.
Easy fix is to offer a swap in the "Swap Meet" section. Many members here would probably like the extended ones.

Thanks I'll measure the shift rods tonight.

If they are the extended ones I'd definately be up for swapping them. Is there anything I should look for when swapping? Are all years and models interchangeable? What all will I need to swap? Will the shift rod need to be swapped?

Shift rod, shift side unit and plate behind brake side master cylinder. The kit comes with an extended brake hose extension but I didn't use mine. It's about 3" long so you will be able to tell if yours is installed. Thats about it.

*update: I measured it last night and the shift link was 19 inches long so it had been extended. Thanks for the help.
