Hey I noted from the pics that some of you have a chrome braided fuel line. I have my tank off right now so its an ideal time to change. Any information on where to get the line and size would be great. It looks like for some, the line being used is a close match to the cable braiding. Thanks.

I can sell it to you by the foot.

We get ours from Namz.

Let me know if I can help.

Dennis Kirk, J and P cycles as well as most automotive or cycle shops sell braided line kits. Through Dennis Kirk its about 31.00 for the hose, clamps and chrome covers. Dennis Kirk Part #: H18542 5/16 is the size.

Now if you are modifing the motor and want the best flow Pingel makes a new petcock and matching carb fitting in -6 AN thats trick. Race fittings and line with no hose clamps and they come in a shiny silver, black, red or blue to match with your bike. Thats how I went and it looks trick and is very servicable but expensive to some. Around 200.00

Its just 5/!6 steel braided fuel line. Any speed shop will probably have it. Remember to long .Must cut with hammer and chisel. Tape.. the end first. Really makes a nice look.

Pingel set up can be found at any MC shop that deals with Pingel. Im sure one of the forum sponsored shops can get it but I got mine at Dennis Kirk. No adapter from tank because you replace the stock petcock with the -6 AN petcock and then replace the fuel fitting on the carb with a -6 An carb fitting. Fittings and line were bought at Jegs. They were by far the cheapest and best choice of colors. Mine is the Russell Endura finish. Matches close to chrome definitely as good as polished aluminum. Not a computer guy or I would send pics. I can e-mail them if anyone wants to see. The nice thing about the Pingel is that they also make a -6 AN chrome inline filter that I put in as well. No leaks, no hose clamps, and you can take it apart again and again easily without replacing a thing.Fittings come in all possible angles for a trick install too...

You guys with the 05 and newer bikes wanting a Pringle may be surprised to find out that you already have one. My 05 has one on it and it's stock.
My 03 had another version that I can't remember right now but it started with and E. It had a higher flow rate that the Pringle.

They have a pingle strainer/filter as part of the petcock but trust me... it don't filter everything!

No surprise here. The difference for the set up I suggested is the -6 AN line compared to the 5/16 hose and clamps. Better flow and looks.

Yep. What he said....Added -6 AN pingel filter in line due to tank sealer that my K9 had in it was passing through. Noticed it when I rejetted carb.
