Installing a vulcan dual coil setup, wired per diagram with outsides (closest to plug wires) with positive and insides with blue on the left, and yellow on the right. Bike is not starting and was looking for advise. I am going to play around with wiring, but don't believe both coils are bad.:bang::bang:

Did you change the ignition switch or did you keep the stocker. I wired my coils is the same way you have yours. Make sure you didn't trip your CB while doing the change over. Do you have ignition as in lights working, and so on. If not make sure you plugged in your ignition if you are using the stock one or make sure you have the right posts connected to the after market one (3 position sportster type)

BTY mine is an 06, and I see yours is an 05, I don't know but they may have different wiring and if so I could be wrong with the wiring on your bike.

Just to be sure...

Make sure the yellow wire is attached to the coil that fires the front spark plug, the blue is for the rear.

I ended up swapping around the ground wires, and the schematic I had was bass awkards. I was concerned about burning something up by swapping wires around, but got it running like a champ. Dennis was correct, yellow for front cylinder, which was in contrary of the original diagram I had. Thanks for the help and she runs like a scolded dog again.

Hey guys, the schematic is now gone. I just got the dual coil setup and am hoping someone still has it and can attach it here

Thanks, Richard

You need to make your own jumper wire to attach to the 2 outside screws of the coils
