Hello,
I am having some problems with my 06 Ridgeback, started with the bike cutting out, horn beeps idiot lights come on and flashers start doing there thing, starts back up no problem then does it all over again.
Now my bike wont start, starter just clicks, clicks and clicks. I removed the plunger and cleaned the contacts, still clicks. I had the battery checked at the local auto parts store and they said it was good, I believe it is the original battery. I dont know if these issues are related or not, bike has been sitting on a battery tender. Battery Tender says battery is charged. I dont know what to do, I hate to pay a dealer who may fix it or just take my money.
Thanks in advance, all help is appreciated.

Rob..........

sounds like time for a new Battery, mine did the same thing but if I tried to start the bike it would crank a couple times and be dead. Make sure that when you get a new battery that you get one with the same or more cold cranking amps.

All the flashing lights are due to weak battery. Replace it.

Click, click, click Battery or starter.

I fried a plunger ring contact using a slam switch when mine was clicking and not starting, slam switch started it a few times though, but i paid the price

Mine started doing some pretty weird shit when my battery went sour on me too. I'd take the battery to have it tested at your nearby Autozone or something.

Our dogs are so electrically sensitive, if I had a flat tire I'd probably blame it on the battery and replace it too!

I reckon. I bought a new one anyway and I am glad I did, solved all my electrical problems.

Probably most def battery. Have went thru 4 on my 06 K9. 1 stock and 3 Dekas. Switched to HD softail this last time. No problem....yet, anyways! Love my bike to death, but these things are so electrically fickle, if my truck battery or flashlight starts acting up, I just replace the bike battery and all's good with the world again! :2thumbs:
