Ok well the dog (07 Bulldog efi) is sick. the front cyl either isnt firing or isnt firing often its @ the dealer and he ran all the diag checks and it says everything(inj, coil) is good. He put new plugs in it switched the plug wires, did a compession check and still nothin :bang: wonderin if its the ehc. It had a bad intake gasket and those are now replaced. Any clues
thanks in advance

Hi, Is the cylinder firing intermitently and does this happen when the motor gets hot. If there is an issue it should have come up with a historical code that can be read at the dealer and then that information can to transmitted to BD and they can tell the dealer exactly what the problem is. Also what pipes & air cleaner is on the bike.

The reason I said its not firing correctly is because the mech said he felt the he could touch the front pipe when the rear was hot. It runs like shit from start up. And the air cleaner is stock and VH big radius 2/2 with a new o2 in the front pipe. The past codes were to much air(front cyl) because of the bad intake gasket. but now no codes.

Can you put a timing light or whatever way, on the front and see if it firing? I wish you would take that picture off, it takes me 15 minutes to read the post!:whoop::2thumbs:

Have your pushrods been adjusted? Could be a locking nut on the front cylinder pushrod has backed out and the push rod collapsed causing the motor to act like it has jumped timing?

Talked to tech and when he rasies the idle to 1800 it seems to run fine but back 1400 and doesnt wanna run and shows stuck o2 sensor and it goes away when the idle is rasied

if it is an intake pushrod that gets loose it would affect fuel intake,if it was an exhaust pushrod the valve could not be opening properly same as the intake, valves have to open.you can have all the spark in the world, not enough fuel bike runs bad.just sayn which really doesnt mean much:loony:

has he swapped out the o2 sensor? could be carbon on the tip of the sensor. could be bad wire to the sensor.

He said he checked them and it is an intermitant problem not constant so it cant be the pushrods.
