NEED FACTORY CONTROLS!!!

I am totally at a loss. My Mastiff came to me with extended forward controls. I can barely reach them and need to bring the foot controls back to me. I don't want to get the push seat if I can avoid it. I see forward controls for sale all over the net so SOMEBODY must be taking off OEMs. Does anybody know who is selling these? I would really appreciate some help here. john

Bring back the control

Name is John and I almost can't believe I found this forum. I have had NO luck finding local people who know the Big Dog brand very well. I thought there was a difference between "extended" forward controls and forward controls (the guy I bought my Mastiff from was like 6'4" and i'm (barely) 5'9". So i went on eBay and all could find was what was labeled forward controls, called the guy and thought, from his description, that I would get at least an 1" back. My mistake for not checking more thoroughly. Anyway i just resold those, lost a nice chunk of money and am right back where I started. I had a different Mastiff before ("the one that got away") and had no problem with the foot controls, so I know they're out there somewhere, but all I can find are "forward". I'll go check eBay right now. Thanks for that tip.

I've got a set plus shift linkage in Chrome. Take offs from a k-9. went w/extended.

i have a 07 k-9 that i want extended controls. if they would interchange i would maybe be up for some trading. have to check and see if they the same.
I have just the opposite prob as you, I am tall and previous owner was short.

how do you know if your controls are the standard size, or if they are the extended controls? Not sure what mine are, but have nothing to compare it too.

I got the stock mounts in chrome that came off my 09 K-9. I know they are the same as a Mastiff since I had one prior to the K-9. I installed the extensions to get my feet out further. These are the mounts only, not the whole controls. I reused the levers and master cylinder with the extensions. Comes with the stock length shift rod. Just sayin' in case some one is interested.

All BDM bikes have forward controls. You just need to swap the necessary parts with some of the guys that posted here to bring yours back to stock length. 4 pcs

Armad, if you bought your bike new it has standard length foward controls. There's pic's here somewhere of both ways?

Mudscraper and I have exchanged photos. A trade might be possible which would be amazing. Have to think out the logistics of that though. Thanks to everyone for the advice, here's hoping.
