High Beam only

Just curious and hope it is this simple, Riding was going good until i stopped for gas about half way back from Rally. When i fired it up, the high beam was on, when you try to go to low beam the headlight flickers but will not go to Low Beam. Is this due to Low Beam out on the Headlight? Is it normal for K9 to default to High Beam when the low is out? Hopefully no shorts.

what if you replaced the bulb and it still stays on high beam
Then you must be Polish! :job: Do you know what happens to those who post but never make an intro? The INTRO COP comes out of his cave and hunts you down like the animal you are.

Just trying to save you a little heartache and harrasment. Go to the intro section, post who you are and we'll be glad to help you help yourself.

These bikes have had some problems with the connecter melting. Has yours been replaced? I believe there was a recall, depending on the year.

Show us some pics of your dog, a little about who you are, where you're from, etc. Glad to have you join us. :whoop:

Hell, everyone knows that answer. :job: If you replace the bulb and it's still on high, then you push the low beam button to get it to change to low. I'm gonna learn him some elactrical 101.

the lowbeam part is already burned out. Try another bulb.

Just a word of advise, don't handle the bulb (glass) with your bare fingers. The oils from your skin tend to lessen the life of the bulb. Also disconnect the negative cable to the battery when changing it out. This tends to reset everything before starting back up. I changed out my bucket and headlight assembly with no issues. Just saying...:2thumbs:
