I'm needing some assistance, sitting on the bike the bolt on top of the tranny cover on the front right side is leaking trans fluid pretty dam good, any insight before I go and pull the cover??? The bolt is tight, I was going to check the vent and make sure it wasnt pluged but it was to dam hot. Any Thoughts???

could be too much fluid in the trans. maybe should drain it and put back in the proper 20 oz. before you try anything else.

mine did the same thing, because I checked the fluid with the bike on the kick. Put in a little fluid cause I thought it was low...overfilled by a couple of ounces, and it leaked for a few days. :flag:

too much fluid can also blow the seal out between the tranny and the primary. definitely NOT one of those times when "if a little is good, a little more will be better".

Over serviced...

When I got my back back from its last service and open primary install the trans was leaking out the left hand side....Karata advised the bakers dont like to much fluid....we checked and sure enough it was well over serviced....ended up blowing the trans seal by the primary....Dad ordered one ( another bad story ) and swapped it out...20cc's and she is high and dry now....

probably just a brain fart, but that should be 20 oz. instead of 20cc. :2thumbs::2thumbs:

An Update, I tried to drain and re-fill it but the output seal is obviously smoked. I rode it today and its slinging oil everywhere so instead of dragging it to Strokers I'll be pulling it apart myself and repairing the problem, less than 100 miles on it none the less. Sucks, I've had a few other problems as well but I wont go into those, their good to go.... Anyone know the the size of socket i need to pull the pulley off????
