Transmission mounting bolt torque

Finally got my ars off the Street Glide and decided to put the transmission back in the dog looking in the manual they say the mounting bolt torque value is 40 ft lbs.... that seems light for a 7/16 bolt. And NO lock tight.... What's your thoughts....

When all else fails go with the manual. Mine has same torque spec. and no loctite

I use 45 lbs and nylocks -- so no need for locktight. The OEM nuts are nylocks, so I just keep 10 or so around -- always new, don't reuse a nylock.
