Sissy Bar Strut Screw for Tail Light...?

I just installed sissy bar struts on my 04 Ridgeback, and found that the dealer gave me the wrong screws. I got the stock length screw, and needed em about an inch longer to thread through the thicker strut. I went back to the dealer and the dude said that he couldn't help me, and couldn't find the screw that I needed off the BD part inventory. WTF? Really? Here's a pic of what I'm talking about. The screw on the left is the stock one, with a hole for the wires, and the one on the right from the hard ware store that is about the lenth that I need to screw on the tail lights. But, I need it to be All Thread. I called another dealer for help, .... and going to another fasner store to see if they have stainless in that size, and maybe lathe a hole through the center, and use a die. Might be tough getting it right and not f*cking up the threads in the lathe's chuck...

Anyone know the part number for what I need? Please direct.

Thanks for your time.

PS. I'm new to posts, so I may F up this pic...

Sissybar screws on my 06 K9 are different than yours, so not much help in that respect. However, whenever I need something rethreaded, I just take it to my local Mom & Pop hardware store. Never failed to get it right. Maybe you've got a similar place in your area. Tricky part's guna be drillin that hole perfect!

I got mine for my '07 chopper from Arlen Ness.
You may be able to also get them from Dennis Kirk, or Drag specialties, but I
would call them with a full description.

Get the stainless bolt you need and take it to a machine shop and get the hole drilled out. Lowes carries a pretty good selection most of the time. If you could use a regular bolt not stainless you could drill it yourself on a decent drill press. That is pretty simple stuff.

Just got an email last night from BD that there's special instructions on installing em.... You have to drill out the light housing and put the screw in from the housing side. Just seems weird since then you have to take your light out to tighten the screw if it get loose. BD emailed me the instructions if anyone who has an old Dog wants em at a later.

Sent you a PM, bringing this thread back form the dead! If anyone has this installation, and knows the size of the screws for the installation of the 04 Ridgeback would be greatly appreciated!!!
