I just inherited a 1999 Vintage Sport. It was purchased new in 1999 by my father and has been in his collection since. The bike is in almost perfect condition and only has 3.465 miles on it. It is all original and has the 107 engine in it. It has been plauged with problems since he purchased it. I was strippped down and gone through tire to tire to fix all the problems and is now running great except for two problems that I cant get fixed.
First problem is when riding it if I roll the throttle open smoothly the bike goes pretty smooth except you can feel a little hesitation through the rpm range. If if crack the throttle open to pass etc the bike starts to cut out and seems like it will stall out plus backfires really bad until I get off of the throttle and roll it on smooth again. The problem does not happen all of the time but I need it to go away. I have seen it after I wash it and when I havent.
Second problem is after I have been riding the bike for a short amount of time I have an oil drip that begins from under the oil cap, especially after hitting bummps and making turns. I have changed the oil cap from the original and it didnt help.
Any help would be great
