I had to remove one shock so I could get to bolts on bottom of trans, which I had to remove because main shaft broke. while trying to remove I played with the adjustment thinking it would help with removing tension on 2 bolts I had to remove on shock, DAM THEY WERE TIGHT, anyway now I am sure this shock is not like other one, I have a manual and my understanding is it is set at lowest setting from factory, so how do I get this setting. thanks in advance.

I'll check my manual and see if this is displayed. If it is I'll copy it and post it here for you.

In the mean time you might check out Works Performance's website to see if they have instructions. They make the shocks.

those bolts were put on with red lock tite. get a plubing torch and heat them up for about a minute and they will back right out. They just need to get hot enough not glowing heat it up put a wrench on it if it don't back out easy do it again. heat where the bold goes in not the shock

The bloke that brought my old K9 is doing a big trip and is riding back past here in about 10 days and is having problems with the air ride and wants to put standard shocks back in , can anyone tell me if harley shocks will fit as we are in australia and it will take a while to get BDM ones , it is a 07 K9 ? he has had a bad trip so far as he has broken a starter shaft , air ride keeps going down and the bolts that hold on the rear guard have sheared off and he is only 3500kms into the trip and has to ride back yet , the joys of custom bikes .lol
thanks for all your help
