just unhooked the battery hooked it back up and the battry reads 12.8 volts the key was in the on position so the lights came on but when i hit the start button just clicked.
At 12.8 it shouldnt need a battery or a jump right. and i took the seat and batt. cover off and did not see a reset switch on none of those two boxes.

I'm still thinking battery. With bike in N you could put a wire on the + side of the battery and touch the other end to the starter where the green wire goes. The starter should turn over immediately. Quick test to see if you have the CCA to turn it over! Make sure the green wire is disconnected so no voltage back feeds into the system.

I would load check that battery before you end up taking that EHC out... By the way how old is your battery?

It's telling you your battery is dead :2thumbs:

Try this...find the connector to your ignition switch, under your coil mount, disconnect it and jump the end thats connected to the harness and see what happens. If it all lights up, then its your switch.

Remember!!!!!!!The EHC does not like outside voltage sources. This is a sure way to pop it. If you have to jump it ..."MAKE SURE" that the vehicle is off that you jump it with,But I strongly recommend just getting a new battery.

DO NOT JUMP START IT UNLESS YOU WOULD LIKE TO KILL YOUR EHC!!!! Get a volt meter, set it to dc volts, check the voltage while hitting the start button. If you have an AGM battery, it can show that it is fully charged, and fall flat on it's face under a load. If your battery is dead, jump starting will not help. Your tender may have damaged the battery. It is not the key switch or the EHC. If it were, the bike would not power up at all.

good point. but only thing that makes me think its the ehc is that it seems to flicker. the lights on the bike i mean but hey maybe the battery is dead i guess ill take a trip up to walmart.

Tender hooked to the battery and on will not damage anything.
ok good to know. well he said that the ehc does not like any outside energy
