The hex screw as shown in the above post is in the front most hole 1/16th" hex wrench. Use a heat gun on the area of the hex screw will help get it out. Then turn the decorative trim ring ccw, helps if you put on a pair of rubber or latex gloves. (available at Auto parts store)

Welcome aboard..

. This is not funny but I was installing a new bucket and after taking out the 2 allen screws out on bottom the rings were like glued in place. The bucket was trashed anyway with a big dent on front lip so I took out my fustrations out. Now its Kinda funny having to peeling it back.:D I hope you don't have this kinda trouble.

Your right that's not funny:roll::roll::roll: What a mess. I put anti-seize back on the threads when i reassemble for next time. The ring and the set screws.

just bought this scooter the other day and im still going thru it to check everything. the previous owner has a fork bag on the bike. i looked inside and he had a spare headlamp. this wasnt a spare bulb. it was meant to replace the bad one. i couldnt find the allen screw cause it wasnt there. he took it out but couldnt get the beauty ring off. i just might have to beat this one up to get it off. wonder how much a new headlamp assembly gunna cost me. THESE TOYS ARE EXPENSIVE!!! lol

Put some heat with a heat gun so if there is some locktite that should loosen it up. Use rubber gloves as mentioned above to help with getting a grip on the ring. You can also take some duck tape and wrap your thumbs with the taps sticky side out and that will help you get grip. I used a soft hammer and lightly tapped around mine to loosen some rust in the threads. Be sure to put some neversize on the threads when you put it back together.

Well I feel like a jackass. Found out that the headlamp assembly is made by Headwind. The outer ring doesn't slip off. It threads off. It's is amazing how easy things work when u know what ur working with. Anyway, got the whole assembly apart and put back together with a new bulb and lens.
