Tach going bananas

I recently replaced my tach cluster and added a analog tach....went for a quick ride and the analog tach and LED tach are going all over...works fine until I get on it......connections under tank are fine....where else should I look so I can isolate if its a loose wire....

Did the original tach work fine?

I would start by asking the manufacture of the components why they don't work. They may not be compatible with the ignition tach out signal or your ignition unit.

THey are all BDM parts??
