So i thought my headlight burnt out, i take it apart and this is what i find:

it's obvious someone was in the headlight before me, seeing that it was rigged up. my question for you all is: what is that piece called? i want to get a new one and put it on right.

Thanks,

Cavazos

Yes there is an update for the headlight socket. It comes with heavier gauge wire with connectors to crimp on and also comes with heat shrink.
Make sure the bulb you are using is a standard 60/55 W. Not one of the high wattage 100/55. They will melt your wire socket and even back into the harness. Sylvania Siverstar is by far the best bulb you can put into your H-4 headlamp. Produces more light and creates less heat than any other.

No you don't need the whole harness. If worst case you might need the small section from the main up to the headlight bucket. It all should be less than $30.

I had the same thing happen to me, I replace the plug or headlight connector with a ceramic one which will not melt like the plastic ones. I have about 3 extras laying around. If you want one send me you address via PM and I will send you one :2thumbs:
