THANKS TO EVERYBODY problem was a sticking solenoid.....
Well not exactly, but close. Went to fire (start) up the dog this morning, for my normal Monday morning trip to work. Key in and on, fuel on, couple of twists on the throttle, press run, press start, fires up as normal, but what's that noise!!!! oh *%$# the starter is still running, pressing the kill switch on the handle bars stopped the engine, but NOT the starter motor, Turning off the key did nothing. putting the bike in gear, only made it walk across the garage floor, then smoke form the stater, then all silent!!! After that I turned on the key, nothing..... Seat off, when disconnecting the battery, something was drawing a current because the earth terminal was arcing!!! The battery was quite warm, but not hot. So what next. This is where you guys HELP, PLEASE. I am stuck in New Zealand, with no documentation as all. Probably looking at large bill for parts, just hoping its not that magical little box.... Winter is fast approaching, it's not like it's the start of the riding season.
