Whats the neck rake on the 04?
Pretty sure my 05 is 39 degrees.
My 5 and 12 raised my front about 5/8"
If I went 5 and 16 I'd think it'd be up about 2.5"
The 73's look real good but I question wether its actually 7 degree raked trees or actually less then 16 over. Maybe meanstreet calculates different.
Top of bottom tree to ctr of axle is 37.675" on my 5 + 12 ultima

WTF is your problem here. Every comment you made is negative, Meanstreet advertises this front end 16 over with 5 degree rake, im sure they have their shit together more then you do. If you dont have anything decent to stay dont say anything at all.

To answer your question .............. from top of lower triple to center of axle its just shy 39", and rake is 37 degrees.

Who you talking to Hugo or Mike Hanlon at mean street? I know both of them and I am not being negative but with 37 deg rake and 5 deg trees its impossible for your trail to be correct hence you would have a log roller. I've put a few front ends on my personal bike so I don't need to explain to you. They must be quoting 16 over from some other place. Ever since Tim Hanlon quit mean street that place has went to shit. I had to return my front end 3 times to get it right. Look up my posts if you need pics.

When i did talk to Meanstreet about shimming it, lets just say i didnt get an answer i was looking for. I do not know the guys name, but he is the one who answered the phone the 2 times i called.

Roman, front end looks right. bike looks level. trail i didnt check but you can do the math or feel if its too heavy or light when turning.
the discussion going on here is a numbers thing. i think the dealer you bought it from had the numbers wrong on his display model. 5 and 16 on your 37 rake would have your front frame about 4" higher then the rear.
i'm figuring your 7 and 14. not that it matters but a few guys here have toy'd with the front ends on our BD's over the past 6 years.

I actually paid $625 shipped to my door, for the money i could not go wrong, it was brand new in box. Every front end dealer orders is on file with Mean street, ill call them monday and see exactly what it is. Dealer sold it as 16 over with 5 degrees, it is possible that its 14 over with 5 over OR 14 and 7 over. Bike is almost done, just waiting on a stupid caliper bracket. Still up in the air about running a front fender.

They are a pain to shim but what I found out is I got it as close as I could with the gas tank off then lightly torque. Take a set of calipers and measure the distance between the lower upper tree and the top of the dust shield. Make a one pc. shim that size but -.005 for just a small amount of clearance for assembly then you'll be able to achieve the correct fall away without having to over torque the stem nut.
Their front ends come with shims, now................ forks are one size from the bottom to where they go into lower triple, between upper triple and lower triple they are sleeved. So the sleeve should fit perfectly between your upper and lower triple, top of the fork locks into upper triple so it has to be just near perfectly shimmed for this front end to work, took me a couple of times but i got it right.

Here is the bike all done, original damaged front fender chopped up to resemble a fork brace/fender lol. STILL cant find the right caliper for this bike. Anyone know the solution?? its a 4 piston caliper but it wont work with the front end OR with A NEW bracket i just got.
