So I have a broken valve guide and my heads are going to the shop. Ian thinking about getting them milled down while they are there any opinions ?

Zero decking the motor is an option as well as finding someone to port and polish the heads, if they need it... but I'm pretty happy with the performance and reliability of my motor so I probably wouldn't do anything... well, maybe bigger cams. :lol:

Well since you have it apart. I would at least get it back to factory specs
(10.2 comp for stock 117 cu in) I don't think it will cost you anymore at this point. And it may not cost much more for a few extra ponies now.

Who's doing it? Tim at Ed's heads in South Lyon will be doing mine if I ever get to it. Let me know if you want the number

Do you mean S&S specs if so thats what I was thinkin

yes, S&S specs are 10.2 compression ratio, BDM specs were 9.6. If I had it apart already, i would shave the heads down.
