Neck Beraings

I just wanta ride
Any special tools needed to change out neck bearings or greese them. What's the p/n's for the neck bearings? I am going to change out wheel bearings and if I keep this up just go ahead and change fork oil. Damn you would think its winter already with this list of to do's.:D

nope neck bearings are a tapered bearing a timkin bearing at that...they fall right out did that last weekend changing my fork oil right now!

Thanks Billy- Would you happen to have a part number and where did you get them or did you just call up a BD dealer to get them. Thanks again

LDO posted a thread on here a while ago on a simple tool he made to install the next races. I think it's in the How To section. He gave it to me and I was just looking at it today. Easy to make or buy the parts for there is nothing to make actually. :)

mine were good as new...just not much grease...i packed them with some good waterproof grease since there are no seals

Here you go Bro. Just a 3/4 bolt and some fender washers. Easy to make and will ensure the races go in straight. Get a bolt just a bit longer than the neck of your frame ensuring you have enough threads to seat the races. Hope this helps you out. :2thumbs:
