Front caliper mount

I'm having a problem with the two front caliper mount screws backing out and falling off twice in the past 1200 miles (today at 70 mph). I've torqued the screws and used locktight. The first time I used the blue and now the red.
You can imagine the jolt it gives you when the bolt gets trapped between the rotor and the caliper mount.
Is anyone else having a simular problem? I think the mount is about the same on most BDM's:bang::bang::bang:

Did they back out after the Red? I saw this and I was thinking "Locktite" before I really read it. Just thinking ,,,,,,,,,,, maybe some small, thin lock washers and the locktite. Changed changed out several bolts and screws to stainless steel on mine and used the blue locktite with no problems,,, of course I have always been accused of using too much as well. I would also get some spare screws possibly before you are out, they came out ,,, you are "screwed" for real!!

Yeah, I tried the blue the first time. I haven't tried the red yet. I'll put 50 miles on it on the way home today. The screws are countersunk and can't use washers. If the red doesn't work, I'm at a loss.

RIDE IT HARD!!!
The red will work. Just make sure you clean the old stuff out first. Should be good to go then.

Keep red on them for sure. If they got loose once there's a chance they've worked in the hole and loosened up the threads. If you can get full torque (3/8-16 G8 = 35 ft/lbs) then they should be fine. If you can't get full torque I've helicoiled them in the past with no problems. You could also safety wire them if the red doesn't hold.

I went to my buddy at a bolt company and replaced with stainless steel ones and red locktite and no problems since.

Thanks, I got it back together with the red loctite.
Same thing happened to me and the caliper actually fell off, but luckily I was braking for a stop sign and didn't do any severe damage. I used red locktite never had a problem since, and I use my front brake every time I stop.
